There are six main types of Expo tickets, each designed to meet different visitor's plans.

1. From Pudong International Airport: Take Metro Line 2 or the Maglev train to Longyang Road Station, and transfer to Line 7 and get off at any one of the following stations: Yuntai Road, Yaohua Road, Changqing Road or Houtan stations.

Or take the Expo No. 15 Bus directly from Terminal 1 at the airport.

2. From Hongqiao International Airport: At Terminal 2, take Metro Line 2 and transfer to Line 7 (see above) at Jing'an Temple Station, or transfer to Line 4 at Zhongshan Park Station.

On Line 4 get off at Luban Road or Xizang Road S. 

Or take Expo No. 4 Bus from Terminal 2 or Expo No. 19 Bus from Terminal 1 to reach the site directly.

3. From Shanghai Railway Station: Take Metro Line 4 (see above) or Line 1. On Line 1, either transfer to Line 8 at People's Sqaure Station and get off at Xizang Road S. or Yaohua Road, or transfer to Line 7 (see above) at Changshu Road. 

Or take the Expo No. 31 Bus from the South Plaza or the Expo No.1 Bus from the North Plaza to reach the site directly.

4. From Shanghai South Railway Station: Take Metro Line 1 and transfer to Line 4 (see above) at Shanghai Indoor Stadium Station. 

Or take Expo No. 3 Bus from the North Plaza or Expo No. 2 Bus from the South Plaza at the station to reach the site directly.

Shanghai has over 45,000 taxis operated by 100+ companies. The large companies have their own colors - Dazhong Taxi Company cars are sky blue; Qiangsheng are orange; Jinjiang are white; Bashi are green; and Haibo are sapphire blue. The companies are similar in quality and service.

The easiest way to get a taxi is to wave one down on the street - there are a few taxi stands but most people simply stop taxis on the street. You can ask hotels and restaurants to call taxis - or try it yourself by calling:

In the daytime, the price is CNY12 for the first three kilometers, an additional charge of CNY2.4 for every succeeding kilometer within 10 kilometers and CNY3.6for every succeeding kilometer after 10 kilometers.

At night from 23:00 to 5:00 the next morning, the taxi fare is CNY16 for the first three kilometers, an additional charge of CNY3.1 for every succeeding kilometer within 10 kilometers and CNY4.7 for every succeeding kilometer after 10 kilometers.

Whether you take a taxi during daytime or at night, CNY2.1 (CNY3.1 at night) will be added for every five minutes of stop time. In addition the stop time includes the time when the taxi keeps speed less than 12 kilometers per hour and the time when the taxi absolutely stops. Taxis in suburbs of Shanghai which cannot drive into the downtown charge less. The price is CNY10 for the first three kilometers (1.9 miles) and CNY2.4 for every succeeding kilometer.
